# Get an API key

API keys need a Pro or Enterprise plan.

1. Subscribe to Pro or Enterprise at [flightqueue.com/developers](https://flightqueue.com/developers).
2. Sign in to your FlightQueue account. Use the email address you used at checkout.
3. Create a key with `POST /api/keys`. Send a JSON body with a name of 1 to 50 characters.

```bash
curl -X POST https://flightqueue.com/api/keys \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"name": "my-app"}'
```

The response includes the full key once. Store it at once. You cannot view it again.

Each account can hold 5 active keys. To revoke a key, call `DELETE /api/keys/` followed by the key ID.

If you cannot create a key, email [api@flightqueue.com](mailto:api@flightqueue.com).
