Airports with Sleep Pods, Nap Cabins, and Sleep Rooms

Long layovers and red-eye connections don't have to mean sleeping on the floor. Airports worldwide now host four kinds of paid rest options: sleep pods (single-person enclosed cabins billed by the hour, like Napcabs and GoSleep), sleep cabins / suites (small private rooms with a bed, like Minute Suites), airside hotels (full-service hotels accessible without leaving security, like YotelAir and Aerotel), and lounge sleep rooms (dedicated quiet rooms inside premium lounges). The verified list below covers every operator we could confirm, with terminal locations and current hourly pricing.

Sleep pods FAQ

How much do airport sleep pods cost?

Single-occupancy sleep pods (Napcabs, GoSleep, Sleepover) typically run $10-50 per hour. Private suites and small cabins (Minute Suites, YotelAir, Aerotel) are usually $40-150 per hour, with overnight rates from $150-300 for 8 hours. Capsule Transit at KLIA is the cheapest at roughly $6-15/hr.

Can I sleep in any airport for free?

Yes — many airports tolerate or even encourage overnight sleeping in the terminal. Singapore Changi, Helsinki, Munich, and Incheon are consistently rated best for free sleeping. SleepingInAirports.net publishes a community-sourced ranking with reviews of seating, lighting, and security policies for hundreds of airports.

Are sleep pods available before security or after?

It varies. Most Minute Suites locations are post-security (airside). YotelAir Amsterdam, Paris CDG, and Istanbul are airside. YotelAir Gatwick and Singapore are landside. Some operators (AeroRooms Prague, Capsule Transit KL) have both airside and landside locations — always confirm before booking, especially during a transit-only layover.

What about red-eyes — can I book overnight?

Yes. Most operators offer multi-hour or full-night packages. Minute Suites has an 8-hour overnight rate (around $215). YotelAir, Aerotel, and AeroRooms sell standard nightly rates. Napcabs, GoSleep, and Sleepover are billed by the hour but you can stack hours back-to-back through the night.

Are sleep pods covered by Priority Pass or Amex Platinum?

Some are. Priority Pass members get one free hour at most US Minute Suites locations and discounted hourly rates after that. Sleepover (formerly Sleep n Fly) at DXB Concourse C and Capsule Transit at KLIA T1 also accept Priority Pass. Amex Platinum cardholders can access several Minute Suites and Capsule Transit locations through the Global Lounge Collection.
